The rules for using Howl.
By using Howl, you agree to these terms. They are short on purpose.

What Howl is
Howl is a place for a professor to talk to their class. It is free for professors and students. It is new, and it will change as it grows, sometimes without notice.
Your account
- You need to be at least 13 to use Howl.
- Use your real name, and don’t sign up as someone else.
- You are responsible for what happens on your account.
- Professors decide who is invited to their Packs and are responsible for how they run them.
What you can’t do
- Harass, threaten or bully anyone.
- Post anything illegal, or anything you don’t have the right to share.
- Spam a class, or use Howl to advertise.
- Try to get into accounts, classes or data that aren’t yours.
- Try to break, overload or reverse-engineer the service.
If you do, we may remove what you posted, or suspend or close your account.
What you post
What you post is yours. You give Howl permission to store it and show it to the people it was sent to, which is what it takes to run the service. We don’t use it for anything else. The privacy page says exactly what we hold and for how long.
Universities
If your university has its own written agreement with us, that agreement takes precedence over these terms where the two differ.
No guarantees
Howl is provided as it is. We work hard to keep it running and your data safe, but we can’t promise it will always be available or free of mistakes. Don’t rely on it as the only place something important is kept. To the extent the law allows, we aren’t liable for losses that come from using it.
Leaving
You can stop using Howl at any time, and ask us to delete your account by emailing us.
Changes
If we change these terms in a way that matters, we will say so at the top and tell anybody on the waitlist by email. The date at the top is the date the current version took effect.
